OUR INFRASTRUCTURE
Gold Beach updated our waste water plant in 2013 and the project enhanced the capacity and processing of waste water in the area. The city has also focused on water storage facilities in the past decade. In 2022, Gold Beach’s drinking water received an outstanding performance rating from the Oregon Health Authority, and was the only water system in Curry County to receive a perfect score. To qualify for this particular rating, a water system undergoes a comprehensive inspection by OHA Drinking Water Section staff encompassing all facets of water treatment, delivery, storage, security, testing and operation within the scope of the organization being reviewed.
Locally, we also have the Port of Gold Beach which provides access and services to area commercial and tourist fishing communities. In the area we have a local jet boat company that provides access to the historic wild and scenic Rogue River. The Port of Gold Beach is also in charge of the local airport, which provides a unique chance to land parallel to the ocean. Charter service to Medford International Airport is available.
Currently, local utility companies are working on installing and improving broadband connections in the area as well.
