Buffington Park Host
The City of Gold Beach is looking for a host for our beautiful Buffington Park!
If you think that might be you, read all the information below, then print and fill out the application. You can then either mail it to City Hall or send it via email to agpagano@goldbeachoregon.gov.
The Buffington Park host program provides valuable assistance in protecting and maintaining our park facility.
What does a host do?
Hosts perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to, greeting visitors, caring for the facility and grounds, monitoring activities, emptying trash cans, locking bathrooms, light cleaning of the bathrooms, notifying the authorities of persons violating park rules.
What is required?
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a background check.
- Have their own RV or camping unit no more than 20 years old.
- Enjoy spending time with the public.
In addition:
- Each individual that will be staying at the host site, regardless of if they will be performing host duties must be at least 18 and are required to pass a background check.
- No more than 2 people may reside in the site.
- Follow City Policies and Code of Conduct.
- Follow all local and state ordinances and laws.
What is the time commitment?
The host position requires a commitment of 1 year. After the initial host assignment, time may be extended. Host assignments are temporary and not meant to provide semi-permanent homes for individuals in Buffington Park or create an expectation of future hosting assignments.
In exchange for the services, hosts are provided with a campsite during their stay.
